Catching up.

I haven't posted, or even scanned, any of my pictures in a long time. I just now finally did that, and ended up scanning about 20 days worth. Unfortunately, I have no idea what order some of them are supposed to be in. I guessed their days, and saved them to my folder. Here are some of them:

There were so many I didn't want to really edit any of them. The last is a grid drawing of the friends' profile pictures who were online, if you're curious.

Day 43

Besides the fact that this dude looks like a crack mugger who just injected heroin into his eyeballs, I added a lot of frustration into the composition. Most of the energy points down, besides a little bit escaping from his mohawk, which is just enough to balance the energy such that it rests around his eyes, such that the energy in it is really playing tug-of-war.

What? I told you he looked like a crack mugger who just injected heroin into his eyeballs! Did you not believe me? Haha!

This is a gymnast who, in the photo, was holding himself up with two rings on ropes. Strong dude. Anyway, on the right side you see the underlying structure that I traced from the photo. On the left, the finished product that I traced on the structure.

Steampunk Rogue Concept

I haven't done any detail  yet, and I got a lot of the proportions wrong and such... but this is for the concept, not for the craftsmanship.

I sketched it on paper, so I just increased the smudge-effect by lowering contrast and brightness, then decreasing blue 2X and increasing red 1X and decreasing brightness 1X to make the old-paper look.

Three more sketches of... guns.

The first sketch I did a while ago, and is a basic sketch of a Tavor TAR-21.

 Next an M14 EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle). I started this a while ago and finished today. This is the highest detail sketch that I've done as of yet.

Last is of a TDI Vector, or "Kriss" submachine gun. This one is not a trace, but a physical drawing - done first with pencil, then done over with pen. I then scanned it and added shading. I started the sketch two days ago, touched it up and penned it in yesterday, and then scanned & shaded it today. This is the first pen-job I've done, and you can see the original pen-work from what is completely black.

The following is a sketch of the assassin Altair from the game Assassin's Creed, that I drew during a class. The face is terrible, and proportions are pretty bad - as well as symmetry. Still, I rather like this picture.

I like this picture that I just finished drawing. It isn't great, but the eyes, and mouth - perhaps the  hair, are the best that I've drawn yet.

A new pencil drawing!

Yesterday my parents bought me some nice art stuff. A 12 pencil set ranging all the way from 6B to 4H! And, a .3 and .5 MM fine point pens. And lastly, a 14x21.6 and a 22.9x30.5 CM wire bound sketch pads.

Here is a picture that I drew with the pencils.

I darkened it a lot on my computer, so it's a little messed up looking. Still, I think that I did alright on the shading - though overall it isn't the best ever - but okay nevertheless.

Fourth and Final Edit.

I have recently drawn a picture of the side-profile of a woman. I have posted three renditions thus far. The first was a simple sketch with a lot of problems. The next added shading and detail. The next corrected shading and detail; as well as removing lines to increase the naturalness of the overall look. I have now touched it up (basically just fixing her torso shape), and have scanned it in. On this post, I will show all four renditions for comparison; in chronological order.

 

 

 

Just one note before I finish; I would love feedback on my drawings. Not just "oh that picture is awesome!" but negative feedback as well. I appreciate criticism; as it helps me to become a better artist. So, if you have any thoughts on any of my posts, I would love comments :)

GIMP and scans.

Today, instead of drawing something new, I have done large amounts of updating. I did scans of pictures, and photoshopped my latest face picture to make it look better. Here they are:

 

 

 

The following is a basic drawing of a female face which I did a while ago. I know that it is pretty poor, but this is the best I could do a few months ago. Compared to the first picture on this blogpost, you can see how much I have improved.
